Apex Riders Holding Strong Across the Country

The first weekend in May was an outstanding one for many of the Apex Riders.   While the weather wasn’t so great for some, the racing was intense and the results for the Apex riders was phenomenal.

The ATVA riders traveled to Walnut, IL.  Apex would like to Congratulate all the Apex riders and a special “Knuckles” to these riders:  In the 90 Automatic class; 2nd Tyler Walch , 5th Cody Shelton, 6th Tanner Stockton, and 7th Dakota Hitchcock.  90 CVT Class; 2nd Jesse Voiles, 3rd Tanner Stockton, 4th Hunter Harper, 8th Tyler Walch, and 10th Cheyanne Hitchcock.  70 CVT Class; 3rd Sam Steckly.  90 Automatic Jr Class; 3rd William Mckee and 9th Matthew Carrico.  And Special Mention for Traxton Liebe who raced in the 50 Limited Jr Class!  Great Job!  Kids be sure to thank your parents who work so hard to get you on the track!

The GNCC riders traveled to Lafayette, TN.  It was a mudfest and rained the entire race.  We thank all the riders and are glad that no one drowned.   In the 90 Limited Class Jay Shadron not only won but won the overall.  Jay is leading the points in his class and the overall.  AMAZING!  Apex would like to CONGRATULATE the 10 riders in their classes: 90 Modified Class 12-15; 4th Allie Slate, 6th Justin Hess, and 7th Tyler Matthews.  90 Modified 8-11; 8th Michael Mussi, and 10th Westley Wolfe.  90 Limited Class 12-15; 1st Jay shadron, 8th Tara Dunaway and 10th Beau Cagle.  90 Limited 8-11; 8th Adam Kerber.   And A special kudos to Thomas Owen who took 2nd place in the 70 CVT 6-11 Class!  Awesome Job!

The WORCS race took place in Millford, CA.  You would think it would be warm and nice…..NOT!   The top to the track was above the snow level.  It rained and blew most the time.  When we left the track there were numerous “pop up” skeletons in the dumpster.  Despite the cold, wind and rain we would like to thank all the Apex Riders who showed up and a Special call out to those who made the top 10! In the 70 Open Class; 2nd Travis Beckman, 3rd Devin Borges.  50 Class; 1st Hunter Schumacher and 3rd Aidan Cash.   70 Modified;  1st Travis Beckman, 7th Hunter Schumacher, and 8th Gunnar Wicklund.  70 Stock; 1st Alex Ortiz, 3rd Gunnar Wicklund, and 6th Tyler Lewis.  90 Modified; 1st Tyler Beckman, 2nd Devin Borges and 3rd Blake Sorter.  90 Stock Class 1st Cameron Snow, 2nd Trevor Sorter, 3rd Tyler Lewis, 4th Holly snider, 5th Alex Ortiz, 7th Taylor Johnson,  and 8th Riley Snow.  Sport 8-15; 2nd Travis Beckman, 3rd Devin Borges,  4th Alex Ortiz, 7th Riley Snow, 8th Holly Snider, and 9th Blake Sortor.

Awesome  2x  GNCC Champion Jay Shadron from Mt Pleasant, Pa began his 2009 season in style on his new Apex Pro MXR- LT 90.  The 1st round in West River Ranch, Florida proved to be extremely exciting for Jay and his family.  Jay races his Apex in the stock limited (12-15) class.  In the last lap of the race, Jay was leading his class by over 2 minutes, and leading the entire field of 64 quads in the overall by 24 seconds.  His super finish became a modest finish, when his belt gave out.  It was repaired quickly and he still finished the race 4th in his class.  Round 2 in Washington, Georgia proved to be a great day for Jay and his Apex.  Jay took the holeshot and never looked back.  He took the win in his class by over 5 minutes, and once again his Apex ripped through the pack.  Jay was 1st in his class and 2nd overall missing 1st overall by 4 seconds.  This is amazing! Jay and his mechanic (mom and dad) don't spend hours tuning their Apex.  They keep it simple by maintaining and checking it over after each race.  They have found that the less you "mess" with it ..the better it runs!  Apex congratulates Jay Shadron on his class win and Overall podium finish!  Looks like another CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2009 for Jay!
